What if when you wake up tomorrow, and you’ve been transported to the world of Lego Mixels?
Sure, everything’s normal… at least for six-year olds. Instead of the usual firemen, dentists, and pirates, they become something else.
Well, at least for series 8. But if you’re a fan of series, you know there are more to this new world.
Kids may love these cute and whimsical little creatures, but they’re a big pain in the butt for you. Still, you must admit they’re wonderfully-made.
Lego Mixels series 8 is made of three tribes: MCFD, Pyrratz, and the Medix. Each has three mixels, which you can combine to make one awesome piece.
Come see the world from your child’s perspective, and get to know these lovable characters in the wonderful City of Mixopolis.
Lego Mixels – The MCFD (Mixopolis City Fire Department)
In the real world you have firemen and fire trucks. Not in the gloriously cute city of Mixopolis. The Lego Mixels series 8 gives you the surprisingly reliable MCFD.
They’d come to the rescue and save the trapped baby, no matter what they’re doing. I guess, that’s unless these Mixels are trying to extinguish fire from the other end of town.
In that case, you’re doomed. Kidding!
Donning a red and yellow color combination, they resemble the fire station. But unlike the usual firemen, they can look cute while doing their job.
Meet the perfect three-Mixel team dedicated to putting the fire out of your house and keeping the whole city safe.
The commander of the fire brigade unit, Splasho is the Lego Mixel personification of a fire hydrant.
A fire scene or fire emergency without this Mixel? That’s close to impossible!
Really, I’m serious.
Nothing can stop Splasho from leading the trio, because he lives and breathes controlling roaring flames. It’s his purpose.
Whether on or off-duty, he looks amazingly adorable. His big O-shaped mouth allows him to be heard by all his subordinates.
Where should they be?
How should they do it?
Only Splasho can give us the answer.
Of course, he doesn’t just go around commanding his subordinates. He may just be 11 centimeters tall, but he play the most important role.
With the translucent blue flame, he will spew out water like it’s confetti if that’s what it takes to consider the job mission successful.
The next member of this Lego Mixels tribe, Aquad is the eye from the sky.
Because of his powerful fire jet, he can alert the MCFD where there’s a fire. Thus, they can respond immediately.
No wonder these guys are so efficient!
With his help, fires even from the tallest buildings can be controlled. What do you think the translucent light blue studs are for?
Having the fire fighter hat on him, the 7 centimeter-tall MCFD-certified Mixel is sure to keep even a thousand feet in the air absolutely fire-free.
If you have a ladder for a neck, you know you’ve got to work for the MCFD. Unlike the first two items before this one, I really can’t tell you how tall Hydro is.
Why? Because his ladder neck can extend endlessly. No matter the altitude, Hydro can reach it with his long neck.
Splasho may be the leader, but this one is the most useful of the three.
How many Lego Mixels do you know that can tame the flames with water, reach the tallest buildings, and move around with ease?
Hydro may be a tad forgetful, but he sure is useful!
Combine these three lovely characters to make one awesome MCFD super Mixel.
Lego Mixels – Pyrratz
Sailing across the world, these Lego Mixels are the thieves of the sea. They’re ready to heist any big cargoes of gold through the Sea Dawg ship.
Hold your valuables a little tighter because you might just be their next victim. The tribe Pyrratz may look charming, but there’s more to them than their irresistible appeal.
Who should you look out for when you go on a cruise?
This member of the Pyrratz may look antisocial and dangerous, but good news! Only one of those is true.
The shark head amuses some and frightens others. But in truth, he’s actually the most enthusiastic of them three.
Still, don’t be taken by his exploding energy. You’ll never know. Maybe you’d find your golden earrings tucked inside his brown barrel leg.
Aside from that, he’s a pretty great guy!
Lego Mixels might not be able to shake his hook hand, but they can sing with him at any show.
In fact, he loves performing for the Pirate of Penzance music show. If I weren’t fond of wearing blings, he could even be my best friend!
Skulzy may be one-eyed, but he’s always in the lookout for valuables to steal. You have to be extra careful around him.
He keeps all his loot in his eye socket that’s covered by a black patch. Peek under that and you’re sure to find lots of gold inside.
Still, no one has the guts to search him because of his sharp cutlass weapon. Skulzy can get pretty intimidating.
You haven’t checked your pockets for a while. Are you sure you’re not missing anything?
Good! Because some dinner guests of the Pyrratz ship aren’t so lucky.
He may be named Lewt, but he’s the victim of looting here!
A walking (or crawling) treasure chest, other pirates are in the endless mission of stealing all those jewels in his mouth.
Yes, he waits tables. But with that much exploit with you, you can never relax even when you’re off duty.
Are those gold and silver elements going to be Lewt’s forever? Nothing’s certain.
What’s for sure, he should always keep his eyes on stalks everywhere.
Here’s an idea. Mix all the three characters up and you will have an unstoppable pirate. Lego Mixels of Mixopolis City, beware! With that creature on the streets, no valuable is safe.
Lego Mixels – Medix
The ambulance comes rushing to the Mixopolis General Hospital, and a Mixel needs immediate medical attention. Who would take care of all those sick patients?
Well, here’s a good news. The Medix tribe is always ready to help.
Donning a white and light blue color scheme associated with doctors of the real world, these Mixels can get you up in shape in no time.
Would you still wait for the next time you get sick? If I were you, don’t.
In that case, come on! Let’s meet the most skilled Lego Mixels of this great city.
The top surgeon of the Medix tribe, Surgeo can perform even the most complicated operations.
In need of a double by-pass heart surgery? You can count on him to get you up and running. If you’re going to ask me, I think he’s better than most human doctors.
Surgeo is born for this.
In fact, he even replaces some other medical professionals usually with the surgeon. His syringe hand allows him to give his patients a shot of anesthesia before going on with the operation.
Even better, he can easily access his tools in his medical cabinet body. His scalpel, forceps, and all the other tools are just inside him. No other doctor can boast that awesomeness!
Aside from that, he has a hammer element on the other hand because, you know. Sometimes, he needs hit a bone?
I don’t know what he does with it. I’m not a doctor.
Surgeo may be the top surgeon, but some Lego Mixels can’t be saved. In these situations, he’s actually pretty sensitive.
With a head that can turn upside down, he can show the appropriate expression to the patient’s family.
Hurry! Someone just got admitted to the emergency room. Without Skrubz, he’s going to die!
Well, if ever that happens, you can rely on Skrubz to do the best it can to save your life. He is just as important as Surgeo, and is literally a walking life-saver.
Skrubz can even help the surgeon. He has operating light behind his eye, making sure that everything goes as planned.
Simply, he’s a living medical kit. His most impressive feature is the defibrillator arms.
When you’re clinically dead, Skrubz might just bring you to life. So, kudos to him!
Here’s the thing. As odd as it may seem, all medical procedures make him super queasy.
Tuth cleans teeth. No surprise there.
But do you know that he has this obsession with teeth?
Broke your arm? He’ll check your teeth.
Have a fever? He’ll check your teeth.
Blew your head off? He’ll freak out. Because where the hell are your teeth?
This tooth-shaped Mixel has big teeth which are very visible at any distance.
Not only that. His toothbrush arm comes in handy as he’s actually pretty good at his job.
On his other hand is a toothpick. Tuth knows that you might have something stuck in there and it’s his job to get it out.
With all these three members of the Medix tribe, you can make an even more awesome Mixel. Combine their parts and see what you can come up with.
Although charming and lovely, Lego Mixels are a little pricey when bought individually. In fact, I personal wouldn’t consider buying them unless I’m really into the series.
If you really want them, I suggest is buy them in sets to save a few dollars.
Each piece is styled amazingly, all being extremely unique.
All elements not only add to the aesthetic appeal, but also to the meaning of what the piece represents.
Get to know the Lego Mixels series 8, and fall in love with their distinctive style and magic.
