Not too long ago, there was a single father whose wife’s death left him with a five-year old son. This devastated them both, but let them hold a lot tighter to each other. It’s heartwarming to know that even with the father’s full-time job, they make it a point to continue to bring warmth in their home.
As a child, this single father has always been fond of Star Wars. His love for this classic sci-fi series has continued to grow as he aged.
This sparked an idea of how he can keep his closeness with his son even as he grows up. In memory of his dead wife, he gifted his son the budding of their lifetime friendship: the LEGO Star Wars Clone Troopers vs Droidekas 75000.
He was this Lego set as an opportunity to build and play something together while sharing his love for Star Wars. Know more about their experience with this Lego set and read on.
What’s in the box of LEGO Star Wars Clone Troopers vs Droidekas 75000?
Inside the box is a dream of a happy family. It is filling the void that has been there since a dear member of their family departed. Who ever knew that those 124 pieces of Lego blocks would build more than what it’s supposed to?
After his son came home from school, and he from work, they unboxed this Lego set. They were so excited that they forgot to eat dinner. In those moments, they were hungry for their bodily nourishment, but their souls were completely satiated.
The single father had his heart filled with joy, seeing the innocent happiness in his son’s eyes. He thought that now, making his son this happy for as long as he can is his only mission.
They were both excited to play the Clone Commander and Clone Trooper, complete with assorted weapons and an accessory. The fun didn’t end there for them. They knew that this comes with two droidekas and command station, allowing them to recreate or even to reinvent their favorite scenes from the Star Wars franchise.
The hidden flick missile and opening doors of the command station would more than amaze the little boy. Blaster pistols would let him fire at will, beating his enemies for the million galactic years to come. The son thought about being the envy of his class, proud of what his dear father brought him. This is perfect for him, but can the same be said for everyone else?
Who’s it for?
Considering that there are choking hazards, it may be right that the recommended age set by the manufacturer be six to 12 years old. However, this father and son duo is both out of this age.
Still, keep in mind that this child under six is under the supervision of an adult. On the other end, the father isn’t looking for a challenge. He simply wanted to bond with his son.
If you want to bond with your son or little brother over Lego Star Wars, this is a great start for the both of you. This is for anyone who simply wants a new addition to their Star Wars collection.
If you want to see the epic battles come to life, don’t hesitate to purchase this. Everyone looking for a cheap Lego set would also find the perfect combination of usability and price here.
According to the father working for a not-so-high compensation, this is heaven sent. Getting two minifigures, weapons, and accessories are possibly the greatest deal ever to be made. Everything’s scaled with high precision, passing the standards even of the strictest eye.
The father and son never had problems following the direct and very helpful instructions. Building each piece was never a hassle for them, it wasn’t ever a cause of frustration to the excited five-year old. They even talked about their long days in school and at work, while finishing each piece one by one.
The father thought as well that this can never be more perfect for his beloved son, as the toys come with many playable features. Long after they finished building them, they were still able to play with everything.
A few years after that, the growing son’s interest in toys has died, but this Lego set remained to be an important part of his life. It was more than a display or a collector’s item. It was a memory of his father’s love. As vivid as the color of the Lego blocks in this set was their shared memories, immortalized in each piece of block.
Being a fan of Star Wars AND Legos, the widower knows that the clone’s faces just aren’t as good as those from the older model. Speaking to himself, he said that his son will never know, so he let it pass. The clones are also the more iconic character in the franchise, so for a moment, he was saddened there aren’t more of those included in the set.
His son found the droidekas unappealing, especially because there seems to be a problem with how it stands. To both of them, it just doesn’t seem right. Those minifigures look incredibly off balance.
Every time, his five-year old son played with the clones, while he’s left with the droiderakas. The father knew it was incredibly petty, but the child in him wanted to play with the clones just once.
Unfortunate as it may be, they knew that it was impossible to build a clone army jut by continuously buying this set. Until life turns for the better, they had to settle with two clones.
Any Star Wars fan would get their hands on anything that would add to their collection. Those looking particularly for minifigures could also be a proud owner of LEGO Star Wars Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper 9489 which features a Scout trooper, a Stormtrooper, and two Endor Rebel Troopers.
No doubt, this Lego set is worth every penny.
The father and son duo were able to start their Lego collection having not much to begin with, and so can anyone else. It’s great entertainment for cheap, what else could you be looking for?
